The Marion-Franklin Garden Club started in the 2017-2018 school year.
Students learn how to build hydroponic tables from materials available at home improvement stores. The tables are used to grow lettuce used to feed the hungry and homeless in Columbus’ south end.
There is absolutely no cost in becoming a Garden Club member. All members are allowed to take any plant or food home for free.
Students are able to earn up to 60 hours this spring semester. The hours could go towards graduation.
