Marion Franklin Civic Association Meeting June 8 @ 6 pm
Location –Marion Franklin Recreation Center
We will meet in the lunchroom. Chairs spaced, mask will be required, and social distancing will be utilized.
Special Guest –Melissa McFadden – Author of “Walking the Thin Black Line” Confronting Racism in the Columbus Division of Police. Please come out to meet and hear this courageous woman.
Code Enforcement –Please be sure to call 311 -Bulk pick up if you have items to throw away, they will provide the date of pick up. Then on the night before placing your item at the curb. In the coming months we will be addressing the Property Owners to whom have rental property in our community. We want our community to be beautiful, let take pride in our property.
Marion Franklin Recreation Center will start summer programing in a week, stop in and see what is available for your family.
CHN-Let us not forget that Columbus City Council approved the CHN housing building-that will house the men from the YMCA downtown building, to be built in the middle of our community. The breaking ground for the building will be in the month of June.
Columbus Police Department –You should be seeing a greater police presence in our neighborhood. This will be in the form of cruiser and officers on bikes.
Columbus will be hosting the Southside Redistricting meeting on June 9, 2021 – South Side Regional Meeting 5:30-7:30pm. I believe this will be a virtual meeting. To learn more, please visit https://www.columbus.gov/districtingcommission/
